Sharon Boyd, who has been dancing since she was 2, began teaching
at age 12 for her dance teacher, Charlotte Peacock. Sharon
graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1974 and enrolled in
UALR, where she took dance courses from numerous instructors,
including Dot Callanen. During this time she also took lessons from
Joel Ruminer.Sharon started her business at the age of 18. Over the years, thebusiness has grown to such degree that it has expanded into over
20,000 square foot fully operational dance studio and gym. Sharon
starts her students as young as 16 months old and goes up through
adult. Parents of students enrolled at Sharon’s can receive adult classes at half price. Sharon also offers family rates and special rates for taking multiple classes.Sharon is a member of the Southern Association of Dance Masters, US Twirling Association-Registered Teacher, USAG Professional Member, and USAG-Safety Certified.Former and present students have become members of professional
and national dance teams, become members of the University of
Arkansas majorettes and recognized by the local, state, and national
media and press.
